The Marylebone Theatre is London’s newest cross-cultural, performance space. Once known as the Steiner Hall, the theatre has undergone an extensive refurbishment, as a result of which it is now a versatile, state-of-the-art space, launching with an exciting programme of theatre performances, concerts, dance and spoken word events.
Led by Artistic Director Alexander J Gifford, Marylebone Theatre opened it's doors with an explosive new version of the great German writer Schiller’s last, unfinished play Dmitry - resurrected in the unique verse of Peter Oswald premiered in a production directed by Tim Supple.
N9 were asked tasked with branding the venue following an extensive overhaul of its building and programming model. Rudolf Steiner House is the first and only example of ‘expressionist’ architecture in London: the main staircase with its flowing forms and feeling of movement and metamorphosis. This organic and flowing style provided the inspiration for the visual identity.
All design, website development and animation were produced in-house at n9 as well as the launch production's imagery and assets. We look forward to developing the brand with Alexander, Adrian and Eugenia at the venue.
